The Belgian Malinois
(We are no longer breeding Belgian Malinois)
Because we feel that sport dogs show the most character and ability, and ringsports are the most demanding of the available dogsports, our selection process begins there. Our Belgian Malinois come from the finest French stock, and because the agility and manwork come so naturally to our dogs, we are able to concentrate some of our efforts into other important characteristics that make a exceptional working Belgian Malinois. Traits like tolerance, compliance, patience, vigilance, adaptability, social modesty, and a generally pleasant demeanor. These are all things we look at when choosing our breeding stock. Although our Malinois excel in the various protection sports available today, they are also excellent in the categories of agility, search and rescue, detection, obedience, rally, herding, dock diving and field work. Our Belgian Malinois puppies are tested vigorously by basic character and drive testing at 5, 6, and 7 weeks old to determine proper placement with their future homes.
The Belgian Malinois is not a pet, and does not make a suitable family dog or companion dog. The breed is designed to work, and need to be working. If you are a trainer, competitor, or Police officer who needs a dog to work all day tirelessly, than this is a logical breed to look at. For all other applications, we find the breed to be too much dog for anyone who is not pursuing these interests.
If you feel like a Malinois is the logical choice for you, please contact us and we can get you started along in your journey into the world of working dogs.
